To celebrate our 10th birthday we’ve generated a bad AI party because (i) we are too lazy to have an actual party and (ii) to prove that AI isn’t going to take our jobs just yet
Holy crap. We (that being DKClarke Photography) are 10 years old this month! Who would have thought when we quit our corporate job in 2013 with a stupid idea to make money taking photographs in a world where everyone has a camera in their pocket that we’d make it this far?
Yet here we are. Despite the best efforts of phone manufacturers to make us obsolete (it’s the photographer, not the tool, people…), viruses shutting us down for months on end, and the fact that 60% of small businesses in the UK fail within 3 years.
What have we achieved? We’ve made steps to reduce the amount of mediocre photographs in the world (at least, for all those clients that use us!); we’ve refined our business to focus on our strengths and loves (no, we don’t shoot weddings…); we’ve met some amazing people as our clients, and have them come back to us again and again because we deliver what they need; and we’ve worked with other amazing photographers to make the photography industry a better place (a rising tide lifts all boats).
We didn’t make a birthday cake, but a recent client had one. So here’s a white rabbit cake topper (we are in wonderland reaching 10, after all)
Earlier this year, we split the business in two to make it a little bit easier for our clients to access what they need.
