"Nervous?"
"Yes."
"First time?"
"No, I've been nervous lots of times."
What stops us doing things (we think) we'd like to do? Often, it's fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of making fools of ourselves. And, of course, these fears are almost universally unfounded.
We find much the same with photography. So many people tell us that they've been meaning to have photographs taken, and the main reason they haven't done so is either inertia (which we'll deal with another time 🙄!) or worry. We can help with both, but about that worry, it seems to come in two forms. The first is worry about being the centre of attention during the session; fear not, we can manage that. (And that's another topic we'll return to.) But the other fear isn't anything to do with the photographs, it's the whole process. And that we can definitely get you over!
One of the key things we learned from our surveys of (family) clients last year was the importance of how we looked after them, from first contact to delivery of prints (and beyond). We strive to give a perfect experience every time, so it was heartening that (after "fun" of course) the most common word used to describe us was "easy" (no sniggering) followed by "simple" (and again...).
We aim to treat everybody the same, whether they've had professional photography before or not. And our guarantee is that those that have will find their experience with us better, and those that haven't won't want or need to use another photographer in future. How, we hear you ask...?
Well, like us, it's simple! Or, rather, we ensure that it is simple for you. We will walk you through every step, and at each step we will be clear, transparent and - don't underestimate this point - friendly.
As family photographers, our goal is to make sure that you end up with the perfect print (or prints), that will become one of your most prized possessions - and we will guide you thought this from booking; understanding what to expect from and what to bring to the session; having fun at the session; buying what is right for you; and even how to hang your prints when we deliver them to you.
For business, this means a consultation so we can understand what your needs are for your images, how you want to present them (and to whom), and how they fit in with your brand (and other business assets). You'll be quoted for only (and exactly) what you need, and receive a licence to use your images for whatever you require (and we'll explain what that means too!).
All of which means, in essence, is that you have nothing to fear. Pick up the phone, or - if that is too nerve-wracking - drop us an email, and we'll prove it to you!
